1. If you start to notice any damage to your walls like loose wood paneling, piles of wood chips, or damp areas, because termites live of of moisture. If you notice any of these things you need to get a termite inspection immediately in order to find out what damage the termites have already caused and get control of the situation before it gets out of control.

If you start to notice any damage to your home’s foundation, such as weak, squeaky, or missing pieces of wood in your foundation, you more than likely have a termite infestation. having a bad foundation can cause even more problems throughout your home, such as cracks in the drywall and ceiling, do to the unleveled foundation that is caused by the termite damage.
3. If you happen to have carpet in your home, there is a good chance that underneath it, there is wood. If there happens to be a termite infestation in your home in the foundation or in the subfloor, there is a good chance that the termites are probably living in your carpet. Although the termites will not cause damage to your carpet, they will use the carpet as a place to reproduce. Depending on the color of carpet you may have, it might be hard to see if there are termites living in it. If you ever get the chance to replace your carpet, installing tile would be a better choice, in order to avoid hosting a breeding area for termites.
