Meet the Owner
Nelson Ruiz Jr. is the owner of Magic Pest Control and has proudly served Arizona homeowners and businesses for over 33 years, providing trusted pest, termite, and weed control solutions.
In addition to leading Magic Pest Control, Nelson has dedicated more than 32 years to serving the community as a firefighter. He began his career with Rural/Metro Fire Department before joining the Phoenix Fire Department, where he has proudly served for most of his career. After a lifetime of public service, he plans to retire from the fire service in April 2027 to focus full-time on continuing to grow Magic Pest Control and serving Arizona families.
Helping people has always been Nelson's passion. Whether responding to emergencies as a firefighter or protecting homes from pests, termites, and weeds, his commitment has always been the same: provide honest service, do the job right, and give customers peace of mind.
When he's not working, Nelson enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, escaping to the mountains, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He's always hoping to see them bring home Super Bowl #7!

Kyle Ruiz
Kyle Ruiz has always been someone who brings light wherever he goes. As the owner's son at Magic Pest Control, he wasn't just an employee he was working toward his dream of one day carrying on the family business and following in his dad's footsteps. He took pride in his work, gave it his all every day, and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
Anyone who knew Kyle would tell you the same thing: he had a way of making people smile. His quick sense of humor, contagious laugh, and positive energy made him someone everyone enjoyed being around. Whether he was with coworkers, friends, or family, Kyle had a gift for lifting people's spirits.
On December 13, 2016, while working, Kyle's life changed forever when he was involved in a tragic wrong-way collision. He sustained a traumatic brain injury that left him with paralysis on his left side, and he will never walk again.
Despite the challenges he faces every day, Kyle's determination has never faded. He has made incredible progress since the accident through hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering spirit. Although speaking can be difficult, he continues to do his very best, often with the same smile and laugh that everyone remembers. His personality, kindness, and sense of humor remain as strong as ever.
Outside of work, Kyle always treasured spending time with his family and friends. Those relationships continue to be at the center of his life, and his resilience has inspired everyone who knows him.
Kyle's story is one of courage, perseverance, and hope. He reminds us that while life can change in an instant, a person's heart, spirit, and ability to bring joy to others can never be taken away

Anissa Crowe brings over 30 years of experience in office management and bookkeeping, built on a foundation of dedication, organization, and a genuine passion for helping businesses run smoothly. Throughout her career, she has developed a reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic that consistently supports team success.
Outside of her professional life, Anissa finds her greatest joy in spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, who keep her feeling young, energized, and inspired. She values continuous growth and enjoys learning from others, always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and perspectives.
Known for her positive attitude and warm personality, Anissa approaches both work and life with optimism and enthusiasm, making her not only a trusted professional but also a joy to be around.

Known for her strong communication skills, attention to detail, and positive attitude, she is dedicated to helping both colleagues and clients have the best possible experience.
I enjoy - In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, exploring new places, and hanging out with my corgi, Winston. I love making the most of life’s simple moments and creating lasting memories.
Jaydin Vanderlip

Born and raised in Arizona, Jaydin has developed a deep appreciation for the desert both in life and in pest control. With over five years of hands-on experience in the pest management industry, he has built a strong reputation for his work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to protecting homes and businesses from unwanted pests. Jaydin’s love for the outdoors fuels his passion for the work he does every day. Whether navigating the Arizona heat or identifying pest activity in the desert environment, he brings both knowledge and enthusiasm to every service. Outside of work, Jaydin enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, especially fishing and hunting. Above all, he values quality time with his son, making family a central part of everything he does.
Brandon Gauna

Brandon is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in the pest control industry, all of which he has proudly spent with Magic Pest Control. Known for his strong work ethic and serious approach to the job, Brandon takes great pride in protecting homes—especially when it comes to tackling termites. Around the workplace, he’s affectionately known as “Papa,” a nickname he proudly carries. Outside of work, Brandon enjoys camping, fishing, and traveling whenever he gets the chance.

Scott has built a strong foundation in the pest control industry with over two years of hands-on experience. Known for his thorough approach and attention to detail, he takes pride in delivering quality service and making sure every job is done right the first time. His commitment to doing things properly has earned him trust with both customers and teammates alike. Outside of work, Scott has a passion for trucks and enjoys unwinding with stand-up comedy. While he keeps it low-key, he’s secretly covered in tattoos—adding a bit of personality beneath his professional exterior. Above all, Scott values his time at home, especially with his wife, who he considers his best friend.
Darren
Darren has been working in the pest control industry for over two years, bringing a strong commitment to honesty, respect, and positive service to every job. He takes pride in treating customers with integrity and always strives to maintain an upbeat and professional attitude, no matter the situation. Outside of work, Darren is a big dog lover and enjoys spending time with his furry companion. He also enjoys reading and looks forward to the winter season each year, appreciating the cooler weather and everything it brings

Tim has been working in the pest control industry for over four years and brings a strong background in finance to his role at Magic Pest Control. He genuinely enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in helping customers keep their homes pest-free. Outside of work, Tim enjoys gaming, trying new foods, and spending time with his daughter, especially building projects together.
Cain Caiazzo
Cain is a dedicated technician at Magic Pest Control with less than a year of experience in the pest control industry. Already certified and highly motivated, he is eager to put in the hard work needed to deliver great results for customers. Cain enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, with hobbies that include hiking, camping, and fishing.
Tony
Tony brings dedication, discipline, and a strong work ethic to the pest control industry, backed by his experience as a former U.S. Army soldier. With nearly a year of hands-on experience, he has quickly built a reputation for reliability and attention to detail. Tony takes pride in seeing every job through to completion, ensuring nothing is overlooked and no corners are cut. His commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction reflects his values hard work, accountability, and consistency. Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with animals, playing video games, writing, and hiking activities that help him stay balanced and energized.

With over 11 years of experience in the pest control industry, Jario brings a strong commitment to quality and care to every service he performs. He approaches each job as if it were for a close friend, a family member, or his own home, ensuring attention to detail, honesty, and reliable results every time. Jario takes pride in striving to do his absolute best on every visit, delivering service his customers can trust and feel confident about. Outside of work, Jario enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son. He also stays active through running, collects sports cards, and enjoys watching sports whenever he can.
